Board GamesEuphrat & Tigris
Number 2 Euphrat & Tigris is set in the ancient fertile crescent with players building civilizations through tile placement. Basically, players are given leaders in four different categories (farming, trading, religion, and government) and must use them to collect victory points in these categories. However, your score at the end of the game is the number of points in your weakest category, which encourages players not to get overly specialized.

Board GamesCaylus
Number 3 Caylus To strengthen the borders of the Kingdom of France, King Philip the Fair decided to have a new castle built. For the time being, Caylus is but a humble village, but soon, workers and craftsmen will be flocking by the cartload, attracted by the great prospects. Around the building side, a city is slowly rising up. The players embody master builders. By building the King's castle and developing the city around it, they earn prestige points and gain the King's favor. When the castle is finished, the player who has earned the most prestige wins the game.

Board GamesPower Grid
Number 4 Power Grid the object of the game is to supply the most cities with power when someone's network gains a predetermined size. We will play ether the US, Germany, Italy or France map. Players mark routes between cities for connection, and then vie against other players to purchase the power plants that you use to supply the power. However, as plants are purchased, newer more efficient plants become available so you're effectively allowing others to access to superior equipment merely by purchasing at all. Additionally, players must acquire the raw materials, like coal, oil, garbage, or uranium, to power said plants (except for the highly valuable 'renewable energy' wind/solar plants), making it a constant struggle to upgrade your plants for maximum efficiency while still retaining enough wealth to quickly expand your network to get the cheapest routes.

To that end, you draft caballeros (knights) into your court and subsequently move them onto the board to help seize control of provinces. After every third turn, the regions are scored, and after the ninth turn, the Grande with the most points is deemed the winner.

Board GamesRa
Number 7 The theme of Ra is ancient Egypt. This game is an auction game. Each turn players are able to purchase three lots of tiles with their bidding tiles. Once a player has purchased his three lots for the round, the other players continue until they do likewise, which can set up a situation with a single uncontested player bidding on tiles before the end of the round occurs. The tiles give either immediate points, prevent negative points for not having certain types at the end of the round, or give points after the final round.

Role-playing GamesStar Wars
You are a member of an elite team on a Rebel outpost in the back of beyond. It's been weeks since your last contact with the leaders of the Rebellion, and months since your last supply drop. Your Commander has cut a deal with some representatives from an unknown extra-Empire race: In return for finding a treasure they have lost in Imperial space, they will supply you with fresh food, medical supplies, and some tech. They can give you a fair amount of intel on the Senator who has the treasure, but they're real evasive as to what the treasure is. It's hinky as Hell, but let's face it... You're desperate... The system I use for Star Wars is loosely based on the old White Wolf D10 system, so you'll need a handful of D10's and a pencil. Pre-genned characters will be provided.
